Where Vintage Never Gets Old...

Victorian Era Parrot Figural Still Bank

Made of brass with detail that borders on the exciting, this Parrot features a slot on his head for the collection of coin. A miniature brass lock dangles from beneath his beak which joins his head to his neck, and once unlocked allows his head to be thrown back and the treasures within to be revealed. Weighty and wonderful the bank measures 5 5/8" in length from head to tail, 2" wide and 3 5/8" tall. It is in excellent condition and although the outside is polished from years of handling the inside does exhibit rust and discoloration, and while it does come with a key that works it is not the original. Marked "Star No. 444" and "Industrio Argentina" on the lock. A keeper of coins, yes, but also great for secreting tiny treasures.
