Dutch Kids Chalkware

http://www.rubylane.com/item/357173-661365/Chalkware-Boy-girl-Dutch-children
Aren't these Dutch children cute. Made of chalkware this boy and girl have colors that are bright and strong in red, yellow and gold. The girl stands 5 inches tall and she carries two water buckets over her shoulders. Her beautiful blond hair and blue eyes really speak to you. Her dress and hat are red-orange in color and has a cream colored skirt with a red stripe at the hem. Her dutch shoes are yellow and one shoe is rough on one side while the other is smooth. I believe the roughness on the shoe is a manufacturer flaw. The back of the two pieces are flat and unpainted with a wire loop embedded in the chalk ware for hanging. There is a hairline crack across the back at the neck it is so faint you can barely feel or see it and it is without depth, The other flaw in this piece is a tiny white chip 1/8 inch long on the corner of the hat on the left side. The 5 1/2 inch dutch boy has a smart looking red cap with an expressive face, He also carried two buckets with a bar across his shoulders. His shirt is cream colored and he wears a brown-black belt with a scarf tied around his neck. His gold yellow shoes come to a point. There are two tiny nicks in the paint on one of the buckets and on his tie and one the toe of one shoe. There are no cracks in this piece. His colors are bright and strong as well . Shipping weight is 2 pounds. These pieces are truly nice vintage pieces with wonderful detail.
