Any information anyone can offer me is greatly appreciated :) These are 7" or so, in length. They're made of marble and metal--likely brass. They have threaded bottoms and the ball-finial on their…Continue

I purchased this most amazing brooch as it is rare and, listed as being Van Dell. Notice the twelve gemstone settings, as opposed to the typical eleven gemstone settings. Pictured is the side-by-side with Sterling Silver Van Dell I've altered with Genuine Blue Topaz Gemstones. While the similarities are striking, there is no Van Dell stamp on the Gold Filled piece. The only markings/stamps are the 12Kt GF, and nothing else. Any help to authenticate this is appreciated.I cannot accept this or…See More

"I'm not sure if that's the same manufacturer though. The pieces I have are older than that, probably the 60's-70's based on the how the prongs created. What of this added "China" & "Thailand" thing? "

Yeah, it's me again :) I'm really scratching my head lately because I've now seen two Sterling rings both stamped "STERLING LIND" - then - "CHINA" on one and "THAILAND" on the other? You've gotta be kidding me?! What the heck does this mean because I'm thinking it's some kind of stupid knock-off! Grr! I've gotten a few rings that only bear the stamps "STERLING LIND" and I'm about ready to throw-up knowing that even the name is being reproduced. Any information I've come across is so vague and…See More

"I know this sounds a little crazy...but finials to fireplace pieces (pokers, etc.)  the marble would stay cool once they heated up and that type of thing tends to be a little heavier...I'll see if I can do some searches and find anything:)"

"Possibly these are finials of some sort and could have been on a number of things such as a bed, andirons, plant holder....... etc....?????  Probably anyone's guess.  Good Luck!"
