My name is Bill and I was born and raised in the City of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, United Kingdom.
Stoke-on-Trent is affectionately known as The Potteries, having been the centre of the UK's ceramic production for hundreds of years, with, literally, thousands of manufacturers during that period.
Quite naturally, I suppose, I began to take an interest in our local wares and soon started to amass a considerable collection. So much so, that I soon reached a tipping point with rapidly filling shelves and spaces.
Two options existed. I could continue to buy and search for my items, or it would all just have to stop. I'm pleased to say that I chose the former and now sell from two Antique Centres in the United Kingdom, supplemented by internet sales from a store on TIAS.
My particular interests are for all things Shelley China (from my home town and just down the road), Moorcroft and Decorative Arts styles from mainly the late Victorian, Edwardian periods. Although these items are the ones where I may have particular expertise or knowledge, I also have a healthy regard for other styles, types and even Antiques in general.
If you want to say hello sometime, or ask questions I may know the answers to, then please do. Other than that, selections of my items may be seen both here and at my main store page at:
