Did ebay hurt antiques market, if yes - how much?

Basically that is the whole theme behind this discussion, lol. Do you think ebay hurt the antiques market, and if yes, why and how much?  My own opinion is that it did hurt,  reasons include the "wow, there is one of them in our attic" mania.  Some items that were thought of as being rare (or really were rare in certain areas) became close to being "common" after ebay.  have other reasons, but just like to start discussion, lol.                jacqueSee More

what do "YOU" collect

every antique dealer I have known,  collected/hoarded/squirreled away certain "smalls". in my case, nippon called to me with all of it's great hand work, both in the paintings - some of which are good enough to be true works of art - to the craftsmanship of the actually clay, especially  the moriage dragon works!   so - what do you stash away/display/save in your home? why ?    hoping to "hear" from you all! jacqueSee More
