I'm continuing my search for creative ways to deal with and find vintage clothing that fits large or plus size. I know I have searched through the years for something to fit and have had to use my sense of humor and a little creative sewing. I'm writing an article about this and need some feedback. I will gladly post whatever information or suggestions I find so all can benefit.
So my question is - How do you dress in vintage when you feel like everything you find is small…Continue

There is just something about the ticking of a wind up alarm clock that brings me back to my Grandma's house in my younger years.
My parents would put us down to have a nap in Grandma and Grandpa's room. Being a hyperactive child, I did not do naps. The only comforting sounds was the tick tock of the clock on the bedside table as the other children napped.
Here are three of the clocks that are part of my collection.............

Would someone please explain to me why I haven't been active in this community since Christmas. I guess it has something to do with sick kids, major surgery and going back to work part-time. But I'm back in action, part-time anyway, and wanted to share with you some pictures of my Russel Wright collection. I blogged about it a couple of months ago and I'm sure my friends at Vintage Village will get a… Continue
I am a throwback type of Girl. Comfort rules for me.
Sneakers, Jeans and non fussy shirt .
I Love ,Love Vintage Jewelry since I was a little girl playing in my mom’s jewelry box. But I stopped wearing it on a day to day basis, since I became a Mom. It became something that I just wore on special occasions.
Well, I’ve Taken a Vow, to wear my Vintage Jewelry, with Tee shirts or Black Tie events.
We are having an unusually warm spell even for North Texas. It was in the 90's this week..........too hot for April, and we're hoping that it's not of sign of things to come. Between the hot weather and finding these 2 fabulous swimsuits one with the coverup.........I've been reminiscing about the summers of my childhood and teen years.
I grew up in the water. Literally. From Memorial Day to Labor Day my family spent every weekend at Lake…Continue
I recently posted the question - "What do you consider a Plus Size in vintage clothing?" here on the vintage village and on the etsy forum. I was surprised by the enthusiastic response and the differences in opinion especially when it comes to stores marking size 14 as a plus size. Consensus seems to be that… Continue

Really, just keeping track of these things is a full time job!! I have 15 (yeah, count 'em, 15!) 9 inch 1977 original Thomas Dam trolls made in Denmark....not to mention the middle sized and small ones....Classics - Lady Gwyn, Poodle skirt twins, lady troll with hair rollers, clown....it goes on.... Since Nik found them, I've… Continue

I've always associated Bow Ties with absent-minded professors. Chapel Hill is crawling with these lovable but often frustrating men. Sometimes I get lucky; someone cleans out Grandma & Grandpa's closets. All sorts of goodies find their way to our local thrift shops. I stumbled on this bunch of ties the day they were putting out scads of things from a prof's house. Here are a few of these vintage goodies from my Bonanzle storeDragonmum's Wears…Continue

I want to thank you for stopping by my page and taking a look. I'm always adding things to JenniferLynn's Finds, so you never know what will turn up. It won't always be books, but I have a lot of those, and they are a major focus of my business.
In addition to the books I have listed so far--some of them are The 1909 Harvard Classics--I have the entire collection of this iteration of The Harvard Classics. I have all 50 books (I believe it's 50 total,) and they are all in pretty good… Continue

I wasn't feeling great yesterday, so I spent my time making a "hand-picked list" on Bonanzle instead of doing something productive, like listing stuff... My list isn't all vintage but I think it's pretty sweet! I've called it "Swinging through Summer" - check it out if you have time!
I'm one of those compulsive crafty hoarder types & I've accumulated more stuff from my mother and grandmothers...and aunt.... One of my… Continue
