Where Vintage Never Gets Old...

Sunday: My blog about my Kleptomaniac toy poodle

By now, you may know I am in the process of moving towards the city.  My livingroom is full of boxes full of Vintage and Mid-century dinnerware such as Oneida, Rosenthal, Corelle, ets. and I keep adding to them!  and then rearranging them, readjusting them....I (turns out) am not the only one in my family with anxiety problems about the move--Peaches, my toy poodle, has anxiety only she can figure out.   As the boxes pile up and my attention is taken off my doggies and onto the move, I…

~Coming Home~

I can’t believe it has been 6 1/2 months since I decided to load ‘em up and move ‘em out~well, I should say move up (North). After getting laid off, my children and grandchildren moving to Ohio and Maryland a couple of months before, it was time for me to move on!

So, Payne and I rented a 16′ moving truck, car carrier for our Explorer…Said goodbye to the South…

The weekend is here already?

Did this week go by fast or what?  The moving boxes are crowding my living room, I never realized how BIG small collectibles can get once they are wrapped with bubble wrap!  Oneida Majesticware, Rosenthal Krister, Vintage Fenton, Corelle Callaway or Quilted Hearts dinner plates, Cherished Teddies.....all of it needs to be wrapped.  How fast a 20" x 20" x 16" can fill up!  ....I have  been to the store seems like  a million trips today. Originally, I was going to…

Moving my Rosenthal Jaeger Myott and Vintage Fenton of Mid-Century Small Collectibles

Wow.  Have I been busy!  At the end of the week, I will be moving across town, to a larger home.  Sounds great?  Wow, it has been a NIGHTMARE.  I had forgotten about all of my Vintage and Mid-century pieces.  I have many patterns by various makers:  Myott Staffordshire, Harmony House, Corelle, Imperial Glass, Federal Glass, Fenton California Pottery, Kaysons, Rosenthal Krister, and many many others.  BOY oh BOY have I used reams of paper and reams of bubble wrap.  …

Vintage China and Glass Small Collectibles in the desert?

Hello to all my friends and colleagues.  I had to add a note to the Vintage Village as to the wonderful day yesterday--while estate "stop shop" planning my hunting of mid-century china, I got lost quite a few times. (I know, I know, "buy a GPS")  Somehow, treasure seeking for Vintage fine china and Vintage Fenton wouldn't be the same if I cheated and used an electronic device!!   Anyhow, while I was yielding my car down a residential cul de sac to make a u-turn, I noticed the beautiful…

Weather is warming up in Las Vegas!

-Well, seems the summer is on it's way here in the Las Vegas valley.  Although I live in Henderson, I can't escape the heat!  I sold a set of Sea N- Sand Hotelware this weekend!  Super Vitrified Porcelain, Churchill England, very nice.  *The buyer is going to give her mother the plates as a gift.  I had to send email to her however, as the e-check system at PayPal is going to take longer than a 3-5 day waiting period. I wanted to warn anyone using PayPal, seems the waiting period is a little…

Sunday, Blessed day!

Hello to all my like-minded friends!  My first day as a full member.  I hope you have patience with me while I learn the ropes.

Although I am fairly new to blogging or selling in a virtual store, I have been a "treasure seeker" for almost 30 years.  Starting my hobby in Sonora, California -on Hiway 49 no less- I learned the secrets of the hills through many a garage sale and flea market.

No one is more passionate to bringing lost treasures-vintage or mid-century small…

Doing Business The Old Fashioned Way

Computers; I'd be lost without one. There is a saying "I love my computer because that's where my friends live." Every morning I check in with my friends and family via computer. I keep tabs on my bank account, pay my bills, look up recipes, order products, sell products, research items, etc.  For me it's a way of life.

But some people just don't trust them and for good reason. There are stories on the news every day about hackers, nscammers, and personal information being gathered…
