From a flying stork
to a dog driven basket…whatever possessed a person to put a baby in a
contraption with wheels?
Did they really think that a stork dropping a baby down a chimney was not traumatizing
enough?…

I love the way a vintage piece adds a special touch. Whether it's in your kitchen, your wardrobe, your bedroom, or your living room. It sets you apart from everyone else who shops at big box stores and whose homes and wardrobes all look alike. Those who love and appreciate vintage pieces are usually unique, colorful people themselves......read more at

Hi Everyone!
I thought I'd make a little introduction on myself :)
My name is Christine and I have been a passionate fashionista ever since I was young, trying to create and wanting to make a business out of it.
In high school we had a Clothing & Design class available and that's where I learned how to sew, or at least enough to get by; I'm still needing more education to refine my skills and knowledge.
Dresses have always been my main interest;…

Over the weekend, I had planned to help my daughter sell her lovely gamer dice jewelry and hand crafted t-shirts at the local anime (read geek geeek geeeeek) convention, Animazement. Here's a photo of her booth - and her making that "MOOOOMMMM stop! You're such a...." face.

After a half day yesterday, it became blindingly clear that I just wasn't up to it. So what to do with myself? Except sit on my heating pad and take tylenol the rest of the weekend,…

I have done a lot of things to get all my networks lined up, but I seem to be stuck starting "the Blog".
http://archiviavintage.blogspot.com/
Since I am not a large vintage seller I mostly intend to use this blog as a valuable resource for vintage sellers and collectors alike, using my knowledge of 28 years of collecting and researching vintage clothing and furs, one that I can edit and add to on my own at will (I hope I…

Lucrezia Borgia was a beauty but she really was quite the devious enemy when she needed to be... Sometimes I think that mean gene never died and still exists (I saying this with love from past experiences with people) .. BUT, getting back to old Lucrezia .....

It seems she and her personal jeweler had a deal.... She keeps them alive and they figure out new and convenient ways to knock off her enemies with none being the wiser...And at the…

I couldn’t sleep at all last night. Ideas were racing through my head. This antique bronze from an old light fixture has been calling out to me. It just wants to be a canopy over a little girl’s bed. Just picture this…wide, faded, vintage ribbon, spaced around the circle, pulled up and attached to the ceiling. Sheer, gauzy, fabric attached to the tiny holes at the base, draped over the bed. Leaded glass drops dangling randomly beneath the cherubs…

The
Goth movement, with bizarre black clothes, creepy
spiders and strange creatures has caused many to take a second glance. Many say WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? When you think about it and take a peek back in time at the 19th century
aesthetic movement, you…

What's inspiring me these days...
I live in a house that was built in the 1920's and have a lot of vintage furniture and accessories that are vintage. It's a constant work in progress and we still have lots of renovating and decorating left to do. I love seeing how other people work vintage items into them homes and decorating.
