When it comes to photographing vintage costume jewelry size can really loose perspective easily.     The eye gets so focused on showing off the pin that we tend to neglect the perspective of size to the viewer.  A picture on a smooth surface has nothing for comparison.

I spent some time looking at my big vintage pins this past week in their first display and went ... "no one can tell how big they are!"   For me that is the whole sha-bang for vintage pins: big, oversized and…

While watching the local news this evening as to the various places Mr. President Obama was going to visit while here in LV, I looked at my twitter happenings.....the Thrifting Boys sent out a plug for a new Toy Shack opened I guess in September.  Downtown as locals call it, Fremont Street as others might describe it.   

Vintage Las Vegas, the old strip, Fremont Street Experience, is now covered and is walk-along only.....Lots of LED lights overhead shine to the beat of manic…
