Ready to Re-join the Vintage World!

Hi Guys! and new people I don't know too! I've been away for quite a while. Lots of the chaos in my life is clearing up. Mom died in October, which was certainly a mixed blessing. Our smaller family is re-equilibrating pretty well.

Crawling out into the light....slowly!

Thanks again for all of you who've been so supportive. Thought I'd let those of you who might be interested what I've been doing lately - or not doing, as the case may be....

Thanks & Hoping for a Great Vintage New Year for All!!

I'd like to give a huge Thank You to all of you who've been so supportive over the last few months. My Mom's in home hospice care & it's still rough at home, but we've settle into a routine. I haven't been around much; I hurt my back (again...duh) and have been dealing with a lot of nerve pain that is also subsiding. Yay!! Even managed to get a week of vacation down to Ft Meyers Beach.

Bing is Windows 7 default search engine! Scary!

Please check the "articles" discussion forum for my post on rank optimization tips for Bing. They are somewhat different than Google's. The site the came from, http://www.site-reference.com. Another one of this week's articles is about Google's newest ranking parameter - web site loading speed.

Thanks for all your prayers!

Thanks to all of you who offered your prayers and thoughts for my Mom. Something must be going well because this weekend she was back to her self with an appetite and good color. My Dad has more help in and gotten the hang of the Hoyer lift they have to use to transfer Mom (she can't even stand well & she's a big lady).

Starting to Think about Christmas...

End of Vacation...

It's sad coming home. I've loved being in the mountains, even if I've had to take a couple days off to rest from all the activity. Next year, we're going to do 2 weeks instead of one. There's just too much to do in one week - and when you really just start to relax on Weds, and Sat you have to start packing to leave, one week just doesn't cut it.

A weekend of too many things...

Over the weekend, I had planned to help my daughter sell her lovely gamer dice jewelry and hand crafted t-shirts at the local anime (read geek geeek geeeeek) convention, Animazement. Here's a photo of her booth - and her making that "MOOOOMMMM stop! You're such a...." face.

These Dam Trolls!

My house has been invaded by Trolls!! Dam Trolls to be specific (it's a Danish name pronounced "Dom") I don't have photos yet but as soon as I do - you'll get to see them. Vintage Bowties for the Vintage Nerd on my Clothing Site!

I've always associated Bow Ties with absent-minded professors. Chapel Hill is crawling with these lovable but often frustrating men. Jewelry Marks Part 2 - More "Real World" photos

I've mostly been laying around trying to behave myself. Had my appendix out 2 weeks ago & it wasn't the easy kind. I seem to not be able to grasp (I mean really cognitively!) how debilitated I am.... I spent some time today rooting through my collection to find more marks. Took lots of photos. Realized that I've got quite a few artisan marks & marks from companies I've never heard of.
