Today, I welcome a son.

I found out last night my daughter is engaged. I am so happy today to add a son into the family. I need more children. While listening to my very smart and beautiful daughter, I realized she is happier than I've ever seen her. That makes me feel great. During the long conversation, I heard her say she wanted the china I have been saving all these years!! Haviland, Blue Garland. Even, will take a look at the wedding dress I have been saving all these years.....Finally, after hauling these things around for what seems like a million years, someone wants them or to look at them, besides me? wow, I feel very useful all of a sudden. My collecting, which started in 1977, has finally paid off!!

All of a sudden, someone GETS me. Someone in my family is APPRECIATING my passion for collecting, storing, cherishing the many pieces of dinnerware and small collectibles of the past.

I'm going to take a drive today with a happy heart. My very smart and beautiful daughter has a new life ahead of her...and I am so proud of her. (Even though she is already successful!)
