Hi Diana Thanks for making me aware of Vintage Villiage and for putting me on your blog. I'm looking forward to meeting lots of wonderful new vintage people. Oops, I'm not sure that came out right. lol.
Hi - me again!
I was just visiting your shop and your mom's and read how you are a mother and daughter team who shares a love for vintage. My mom and I were a team - she started selling jewelry when I was 12 and I joined her in her passion for it when I was about 30. We treasure hunted together almost every weekend, shared excitement over special finds, learned together, sold together. Last year she had several small strokes and is now unable to use her computer at all - we sold it. I still take her treasure hunting some but she has lost a lot of her knowledge and instincts plus doesn't understand money & numbers well. We are no longer able to really share our hobby. I really miss being able to call her and say "Guess what I found?" and feel she really gets it. I have to explain it . . . it's just not the same. I only wish she had made it to enjoy my online store. experience with me We sold on eBay together and did some flea market selling and a few shows here and there.
My mom was in such amazingly good health it really took me by surprise.
I really am not trying to be a downer. The point is - enjoy every minute of your mom (and everyone you love) and don't take it for granted.
Goldiez,
Congratulations on winning the rose pin and earrings in our Cupids in Love with Vintage promotion. Just read thru a couple of your blogs. Very interesting and information - you are doing a great job!

Thanks for the invite : ) I always enjoy seeing your shop. I love your "Cheery Vintage Pillowcases". I had the identical pillowcases back when I was a flower child lol! A real blast from the past!
