Thank you for the warm welcome. I feel at home already! I stumbled on to this site via a link from "The Graphic's Fairy", one of my favs for DIY and vintage graphics.
I am a vintage junkie & avid treasure hunter. I am so addicted to finding treasures & giving them new homes. Some I give away. Some I sell. Most make their home with me.
I collect vintage fashion & jewelry, emphera, kitchen kitsch, pottery & unusual things of all categories. My son calls me an "organized hoarder" & threatens intervention when I call him to help move the heavy stuff (i.e. furniture, architectural salvage).
For me, it's all about the thrill of the hunt. I look forward to interacting in the community and sharing ideas with like-minded collectors.
I spent last year tweeking my Etsy Shop so didn't really look around here and find out how things work. Now I need to do more promoting and just can't figure out how to do things here. Forgive my ignorance but how do I get My Page to look like other folks pages?? I thought I was following the process but not I guess. If I understand it, I cannot upload a picture from my shop on Etsy. But I am interested in a Feature presence so am considering purchasing that. But want the page to look good to buyers stopping by this site. I guess what I need is HELP!!
Thanks for welcoming me to this site. I, m excited about communicating with everyone who has the same love of antiques and porcelains that I do. Your site looks great and I,m sure that I can learn alot from all of you Kathy Laslow
Hi Lora! Glad to meet you and thank you for the invite. I'm very happy to find the group of people who're passionate about vintage fashion. And I'll check the selling venue as well. Sounds like a great idea. I'm new to the website and will need some time to get accustomed to it. Gonna check your shop now...
I've been in Brazil for almost a month taking care of my father, but i am happy to be back in the group. It seems like i have a lot to catch back with.
Hi Lora, I just checked out the Leaderboards tab and I'm in the top 5 today--how exciting! I had not noticed this feature before. Love the Seller's Express new feature too, you are always working hard to improve this site and I just wanted to tell you I love it here! Thanks for ALL you do!
Thanks Lora. I am a buyer and not a seller. I love circle pins and search for them everywhere and anywhere. I even own a few of my own but the most precious two that I have were given to me around 50 years ago by my best friend and my husband. My friend, unfortunately died of a lingering illness in 1961. She gave me my very first circle pin at Christmas 1960. I still have it and treasure it in memory of Regina. My husband gave me another after we married and it is precious, too. So many memories in those inexpensive pieces of jewelry sometimes make me weep. And so life goes on. Au revoir...Anna
