Vintage Print of Lorna Doone by William Wontner

  • This is a vintage print of Lorna Doone by William Wontner. The British artist lived from 1857-1930 and did many portraits of beautiful women. At the lower left is an embossed circular stamp that shows "The Madison Print Co. CG & S NY." The initials stand for the publishers Close, Graham, & Scully in business from 1908-1919. It is a little hard to see because of where it is located but there is a closeup photo of the stamped area.

She is housed in a wood frame of gold and greenish blue colors. It has glass, a cardboard backing with dust cover remnants, and a wire for hanging.

Size: The frame measures approximately 13 1/4" tall and 10" wide. The opening in the back measures approximately 12" by 9".
