Native American Indian Maiden Calendar Print by Homer Nelson

  • This is an attractive calendar print of a Native American Indian Maiden. It is signed in the plate at the lower left by the American artist Homer Nelson (1886-1956), known for his Indian Maiden art works. It is titled "Adoeeta (Big Tree)." She is dressed in red, holding an oar, with her canoe nearby.

    It is in a gold wood and gesso frame with raised flowers done in the Aesthetic style. It has older glass, a cardboard backing, with a string for hanging. Near the glass is red velvet.

    Size: The frame measures approximately 8 3/4" tall and 5 1/2" wide. The opening in the back measures approximately 6 1/2" by 4 3/4".
