Eggleston Vintage Calendar Print of Indian Maidens

  • This is a vintage calendar print by the American artist Edward Eggleston (1882-1941). He was known for his calendar work depicting Indian maidens, Arabian and Egyptian women, as well as pirates. He worked for several different calendar production companies. This print features two lovely Indian Maidens on a cliff. They are dressed in red. No title appears on this print.

    It is in a layered wood frame with faux tortoise marbling. It has a black layer, as well as a decorative wide gold layer near the sight edge. It has old glass, a cardboard backing, with a wire for hanging.

    Size: The frame measures approximately 10 1/2" tall and 8 1/2" wide. The opening in the back of the frame measures approximately 8" by 6". It is about 1 1/2" deep.
