W. Haskell Coffin Vintage Print of Lorna Doone

  • This is a lovely vintage print of a beautiful dark haired lady. It is by the American artist William Haskell Coffin (1878-1941). In a book of his works, this particular lady is titled Lorna Doone. Lorna Doone was a character in the 1869 fictional romance novel of the same name by the English author Richard Doddridge Blackmore. The artist's signature in the plate is at the lower right.

    She is in a blue and gold wood frame with colors that complement the print. It has older glass, a cardboard backing, with a string for hanging.

    Size: The frame measures approximately 10 3/4" high and 8 3/4" wide. The opening in the back of the frame measures approximately 10" by 8".
