1940's Party Game Books, Professor Wiz

  • "Professor Wiz Party Book, The Life of the Party" is a set of party games in booklet form, published in 1948 by Kroll Publishing.  The 1940's version of Trivial Pursuit or Who Wants to be a Millionaire, though only two quizzes are multiple choice.

A cardboard box holds the four books, or pads, each of which has seven quiz games, with 10 page copies of each quiz. The categories are IQ, Quotations, History, Vocabulary, Famous Ads, Brain Twisters, and IQ Again. There are between eight and fifteen questions; the answers are on the back covers of each pad.

    Box is 8 1/2' x 5 1/2" x 1 1/2" (22 x 14 x 4 cm).

There are three torn corners (two were taped at one time) on the box, which is discolored with age and storage. The faded (but thoroughly readable) game pads have separated to varying degrees. None of the pages are torn or stained. All pages seem to be intact, but it is possible there are a few missing.
